In today’s video, I’m taking an IKEA chair frame and transforming it into a stunning boucle inspired chair. I’ve been seeing these chairs all over but with a VERY high price tag, so I wanted to DIY it at a lower price point! I love how it turned it, the chair feels slightly vintage but totally high-end for less than half the cost!

  • I love this chair so much I am going to have to figure out how to make me one. I can't afford an IKEA chair or expensive fabric so I'm going to find a used one and then go out and find some fabric similar but obviously not as nice but it still could look as good as yours... Maybe.❤️

  • DREW!! This is soo timely for me! I have to overstuffed bucket chairs that were gifted to me. They look a little “Golden Girls” fabric wise...ok, a lot. I was thinking of doing a project like this but I’ve also been looking at painting them. Have you or could you please paint a chair or sofa? I’d love to watch your instructional video of this. You’re very good at what you do and I really love how you present yourself as down to earth and genuine. Thanks for this one! I’m pricing boucle fabric in my area. The pool noodles worked great! I’d also like to know how it’s holding up if it’s being used. 🤗✌🏻

  • Love your creativity! As a VM I've covered chairs before (did an office chair once which was super challenging) but I was so proud of the result. I don't go the traditional way either, happy to use a glue gun, staple gun and if necessary upholstery tacks, whatever gets the job done, but I totally get the feeling of satisfaction you feel when you pull it off, it can be so rewarding.
